Elementary Education

Seton Montessori’s Elementary programs are the place to grow! Students learn to integrate and connect ideas, develop critical thinking skills and become independent, lifelong leaders. As a part of an interwoven community of parents and teachers, these confident young global citizens are preparing to know who they are and to act responsibly to serve humanity.

Building on the foundations developed in Montessori Early Childhood classrooms, the elementary experience nurtures and stretches students as they move into this new stage of development. The Elementary Montessori program delivers a robust age-appropriate educational curriculum using an integrated approach to discovery and mastery of math, language, science and social studies concepts. Additionally, the programs include weekly Spanish instruction, physical education, art, music, Junior Great Books critical thinking program. Time working and playing outdoors, as well as animal care are a special part of the Seton experience.

Each student is invited to become an active participant in his or her own learning process as he or she moves from the concrete world of their earlier years to the threshold of abstract thinking and social interest found in the older classrooms. The focus is on building the foundations of organization, self-confidence, cooperation and curiosity all while providing a growing academic challenge.
