Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Montessori-trained or aspiring Mandarin-speaking Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team. The ideal candidate will work with children ages 3-6 in our Chinese-language immersion classroom, creating an engaging, enriching environment for both language learning and Montessori development.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Montessori Certification (or currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Montessori Certification program) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (both speaking and teaching) is a must.
• Prior experience in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude, particularly when working with children of varying abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Observe, assess, and support each child’s individual development, ensuring they reach their full potential.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and positive environment.
• Supervise students during class, lunch, recess, and field trips, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Assist children with personal hygiene routines, including handwashing and bathroom usage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment, including student bodily fluids if required.
• Model and encourage grace, courtesy, and respect in all interactions with students and colleagues.
• Foster a joy for learning by encouraging students to meaningfully engage in activities.
• Communicate regularly with families about the classroom curriculum, activities, and student progress, maintaining a positive and professional image of the school.
• Participate in ongoing self-assessment, professional development, and training to stay current in Montessori education practices.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers, providing training, supervision, and support as needed.
• Track student progress through observation notes, progress reports, assessments, and classroom inventory.
• Uphold and enforce school policies and values, promoting a culture of cooperation and teamwork.
• Participate in regular fire and tornado drills, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Classroom/Facility Responsibilities:
• Ensure classroom areas remain clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Complete monthly safety inspections (including fire and tornado drills) and maintain required documentation.
• Respect school confidentiality and security protocols.
