Infant & Toddler Programs
Our Infant-Toddler Community offers programs for children from two months through three years of age in our Infant, Young Toddler and Toddler 2s and 3s classrooms. Families may choose from a full or half day schedule in our Toddler classrooms.
Infants & Young Toddlers
Seton is proud to offer our Infant and Young Toddler Program housed in its custom-built Infant & Toddler House. Fully certified Montessori teachers staff these programs and welcome children between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Materials in the environments have been purposefully selected, and the staff is experienced in recognizing developmental milestones to nurture and support the learning opportunities of each young child. The classrooms promote a balance of peaceful comfort and engaging stimulation for our youngest students.
Toddlers 2s & 3s
The Toddler 2s and 3s classrooms offer a doorway to learning in a home-like setting that nurtures the spirit while supporting growth and independence. Teachers are specialists in the needs related to each age group, which include such issues as the establishment of autonomy, separation and the first transition to school, toilet learning, etc. The educational program includes everyday living skills, activities for sensorimotor and language development, and experiences in arts and sciences.
As educators, the importance of the parents’ role in affecting their child’s education is recognized, valued, and embraced. Teachers work in tandem with parents to identify the child’s needs and facilitate the educational experience necessary to meet them.
Scheduling Options
Scheduling options include half-day and all-day programs. The Half Day Program is a two and a half hour class (8:45-11:15 a.m.) and the All Day Program is a seven-hour class (9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.). Families in the All Day Montessori program can elect to choose before or after school care as necessary (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m).
